Who is behind Alexa Karabin Genuine Artwork?
That would be me, a huge lover of nature, and a master's trained artist who specializes in painting and printmaking. I live in Kalamazoo, Michigan and work between Detroit and Chicago. Read more of my Biography and Statement, here.
What Materials Do You Use?
I used a variety of materials! It all starts with a simple graphite drawing on 100% cotton paper. Then the details come with multiple layers of ink and handmade watercolors. To add texture and visual allure, I apply adornments like gold leaf, metallic pigment, mica, and glass.
Do you take commissions?
What about framing?
These custom, handcrafted frames are neutral, contemporary, and fit in with most decor, both modern and traditional. Maple is also what most contemporary galleries and museums are framing with now.
But Maple Doesn't Work For Me / Custom Framing
I am in the process of offering a small line of different framing options. If you need it now, let me know and I will show you the options. If you have your own framer, I can send the work to you without the frame. Just contact me and let me know which piece.
5''x7'' / ACEO / Small Original Painting / Ready to Frame
If you have one of the above, these come in mats that were cut to a standard size frame. It is my goal to make things as easy and affordable as possible for you.
